The test is intended to determine pregnancy in a bitch as well as to distinguish between pseudopregnancy and a real gestation. In almost all cases of a false negative result it is due either testing being performed very early on, or the sample collected being too low for proper accurate detection. Dog came up empty in ultrasound which we confirmed with a bell labs test and it was a true negative
Not an accurate test, my dog is very pregnant and the test came back negative on all 3 dogs who are now due in 2 weeks. Being a nurse I do understand how to perform test.
