Sampling and sample volume with Bellylabs testing. Why do we keep talking about it?
Most of our customers and friends have most likely heard us bring up sample volume, on either our Newsletters or on our social media.
But what does it mean and why is it so crucial for successful testing?
No, human pregnancy tests are not suitable for dogs. Human pregnancy tests are designed to detect human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced during human pregnancy. Dogs do not produce hCG, so using these tests on them would not provide accurate results. The relaxin hormone is produced by the placenta during dog pregnancy, making it a reliable indicator of dog pregnancy. Unlike human pregnancy tests, the Bellylabs test is specifically designed to detect relaxin in dogs, ensuring accurate results.
To ensure a healthy and successful pregnancy, it's essential to have a good understanding of the dog gestation calendar, dog gestation length, and the various aspects of canine pregnancy. In this beginners guide, we will delve into the intricacies of dog pregnancy, including the gestation period in weeks and months, the puppy gestation period, and everything you need to know to support your female dog through this special time.
Used one for the first time a few weeks ago. It was CORRECT! Will definitely be using in the future as it has saved us not just money from a vet visit to do the same thing but we also were able to keep "new mamma" at home and safe from picking up an illness by taking her to a vet clinic. No unnecessary exposure to sick pets. Thanks Bellylabs!!
I breed english mastiffs and highly recommend to use bellylabs test. Easy to use at stress free enviroment for mom to be and no need for special skills to do the test.
After reading reviews I have purchased several tests. Out of 4 test 3 were positive and one was negative and they where all correct. Love this because it provides a way to collect the blood sample and it’s super simple to do. The line maybe faint but does appear when positive.
Just what I needed. As a dog breeder sometimes going to the vet to just confirm a pregnancy is a pain in the… but with bellylabs everything changes. My boxer girl is 35 days pregnant and the test was just fast and effective
