How to perform the test
1.Snap
Use the lancet provided to snap your dog’s lip to obtain a small droplet of blood. The lancet is single use, and can be fired only once. VIDEO: How to use the lancet
2. Collect
Collect the sample to the sample swab until it is completely blood red throughout and will no longer absorb any more sample. This is important.
3. Drop & close
Drop the swab into the buffer tube and swirl it around 3-5 times to release the sample, and break the end of the swab into the tube.
4. Release & read
Turn the tube upside down, open the smaller bottom cap and drop 2 drops of the sample liquid into the test cassette’s sample hole. Set a timer for 10 minutes and your result is ready!

Expensive in my opinion and lots of room for error.
As a retired nurse I chose to take a blood sample from a vein close to the surface of the skin and not in the mouth with saliva in it and giving my girls a negative experience around their mouths IMO.
We had a negative for pregnancy and I suspected as much. I have an U/S machine. The next girl I decide to breed I am going to confirm pregnancy via U/S and then try the remaining test I have left for comparison.
Price would be my biggest complaint. The items in the kit are easily accessible from med supply companies in bulk at a fraction of the cost (lancets, pipets, plastic test trays)…the expense would be whatever is used for the solution, however, even then it is an extremely small amount…forbid you were to spill a few drops at this cost.
Great concept…convenient…could be made less expensive for breeders IMO.

3 bitches tested, two pregnant one not. Test was right all three times. However, the t-line can be very faint so that it is hard to distguish positive from negative.
I am also missing sensitivity and specificity ratings. What does 95% accurate mean?

I thought I received 2faulty lancets as neither one of them seemed to work. After talking to customer Service I realised that I had not used them correctly. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE USING.
